Gear up for an epic motorsport celebration as the Kyalami 9 Hour gets back to Jozi
The exhilarating GT3 and GT4 sports car-based endurance series known as the International GT Challenge (IGTC) Series is run on five continents and is powered by Pirelli. The next race will be in Africa.
The second round of the IGTC’s five-race 2023 season, the Kyalami 9 Hour, will be held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg. It will undoubtedly be thrilling to watch as more than 20 international and domestic GT3 and GT4 race teams compete for class and overall victories.
The K9H Motor Fest’s centerpiece is this arduous endurance race. This three-day motorsports extravaganza, which runs from February 23 to February 25, promises fans at least 12 hours of high-octane track action each day.
This is due to the fact that, in addition to the IGTC Kyalami 9 Hour, more than 180 cars will compete in seven support categories, each of which will feature two races.
A historic car exhibit, the chance to win prizes at the Mercedes-Benz simulators in the ATK Arena, and gymkhana demonstrations by the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team are all highlights for festival goers.
Watchers can “refuel” in the food court between races, relax with a drink at the Heineken bar and entertainment area, or prepare a meal with family and friends over a braai, which is allowed in general access areas.
Practice sessions for each of the seven support categories continue throughout the day, and the action begins at 7.50 a.m.
