Five alleged uMlazi robbers arrested in Mooi River for stealing R3 million worth of jewelry from Polokwane Mall.

In KwaZulu-Natal’s Mooi River, five suspects have been apprehended for allegedly robbing a jewelry store at gunpoint in Polokwane’s Savannah Mall.

The men pulled off gems worth R3 million when they purportedly ransacked Debbie Mounton’s adornments store around three weeks prior.

According to Limpopo NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, the robbery occurred on May 12 on a Friday morning.

She claimed that the suspects threatened employees with guns and then fled with the jewelry.

The stolen items that were connected to the crime were discovered in the hands of the suspects.

They are all accused of robbery, and their circumstances are aggravating.

The five men showed up at the Polokwane Officer’s Court on Thursday where the matter was dismissed to June 14 for their bail hearing.
